African Lions are one of the most iconic symbols of Africa. They also, for me, represent several other things - strength, teamwork, pride, beauty, intelligence and safety.
The embrace of the female and male lion within this piece is a symbol of strength with family in the most difficult times. The importance of keeping the pride strong is a challenge on the savanna of Africa, as well as in our own homes. We are no different from lions in too many ways.
We all want "Safety", we should all receive that basic sentient right.
