This oil painting depicts two orphaned elephants at an orphanage in South Africa. Both were photographed at the orphanage doing well after their separate rescues due to the mothers being killed by poachers. These heroic conservation efforts will allow these two elephants to be reintroduced back into the wild to live as free wild animals.
