As dawn breaks golden hues of mist rise above the wind still wilderness lake revealing the excited banter of those who dip their paddles and ride canoes. From the shore a young moose watches with cautious curiosity as the noisy intrusion breaks the silence of his pristine domain.
I thought it an interesting change of perspective to portray and tell a story through this painting and the eyes of a moose in his habitat on Lake Opeongo in Algonquin Park.
As humans I feel that we have a responsibility in how we share this beautiful planet with our wildlife by being mindful and respectful of the natural world. As a camper for over 40 years I embrace a wonderful motto and practice…….“Leave not a trace”.
