I have been really fascinated with white pelicans for years. They travel from winter vacationing in Florida to summering in the Northwest - around Yellowstone and the middle northwestern states. That schedule alone shows good taste. They are actually very much larger than the brown pelicans we see everywhere - a wing span of a white one can be ten feet. One of the things I enjoy most about them is their cooperation in their fishing habits. They work cooperatively and herd their fish together. I think they are beautiful and have bright blue eyes in mating season.
