Wall color:
In my painting, ‘In the Shadow of Greatness’, two leopards are represented, an adult female, mother, and her cub approximately 5 months old. They stand on a camel thorn acacia against a dramatic sky. Leopards in East Africa generally favour a variety of acacia or fig trees due to the vantage point it gives them and also because they provide a great shade canopy. The young depend on their mother for food and do not leave the den until they are 3 months old. At 12 to18 months, the cubs are ready to live on their own and at 2 or 3 years old will create their own offspring. I hope my painting gives you the feeling of a master hunter teaching the next generation in the ways of greatness.
