Jasper Flames is a large painting inspired by my annual visits to Jasper, Alberta every summer, A storybook landscape that inspires the imagination and the artist to paint. I love to depict the wilderness at night by campfire light. The colour of the orange light against the blue sky and shadows sets up a beautiful harmonic of complementary colours. These scenes usually inspire both memories of the outdoors and a motivation to return to the forest.
