Willets are perhaps my favorite shore birds. I particularly enjoy watching them feeding right at the surf line and have been known to follow them and observe their behavior for hours. They offer infinite inspiration for paintings along with the design of the ebb and flow of the waves on the sand. In this case they are eating tiny clams that are found just as the waves retreat, the perfect "Happy Hour" treats.
