Maquarie Island is south of New Zealand and is the place to go to see Royal Penguins. There is also an enormous colony of King Penguins. In one beach area it was so crowded with kings that some were standing in the surf. You could certainly not land there. I wanted to capture that feeling of the huge numbers. Among the adults were a few juveniles so I included one ...Woolly Bear.
