AFC's annual juried "International Exhibit of Nature in Art" is the world's top conservation-themed art exhibit and sale. It's a rare opportunity for art collectors to buy original artwork by internationally acclaimed artists and directly support conservation work. The exhibit typically features 200 original paintings and sculptures by leading AFC artists in a Virtual Exhibit and companion hardcover book. Roughly half of the works selected are exhibited at AFC's flagship exhibit, which opens each year in Vancouver, Canada. Most of those works, in turn, tour to various other international institutions for public display. Visitors can enjoy worldwide artistic excellence, learn about conservation issues directly from exhibiting artists, and support conservation.
Most artwork in the exhibit is for sale and ranges in price from $500 to $60,000+. At least 40% of proceeds from artwork sales benefits conservation and environmental education, and each artwork is dedicated to supporting a conservation organization of the artist's choice.
Every year Artists for Conservation pays tribute to international artists with numerous awards, including AFC Medals of Excellence, which recognizes outstanding artworks in the exhibit, Environmental Statement Award, and Best in Show for Paintings and Sculptures.
AFC produces a hardcover book as a companion to the exhibit, reproducing all the work selected for our annual exhibit. A portion of the book is dedicated to highlight the exhibit’s conservation beneficiary as well as AFC’s programs. AFC also features a selection of artwork from the exhibit in its annual Environmental Calendar which, in addition to featuring major international public and statutory holidays, highlights key environmental-themed dates, elevating awareness of critical environmental concerns.
