This magnificent raptor is the epitome of strength & survival. Once listed as a threatened species, the Bald Eagle has made a tremendous come-back attesting to this. I captured this moment while driving through the Colorado mountains.
The eagle, was taking flight after eating off a deceased deer on the side of the road. With its legs & talons fully extended, I marvelled at the athleticism of this bird, usually only admired in flight.
