The inspiration for this painting came during a camping trip at one of our local lakes , where eagles perch on the old snags.
I am lucky to live on the west coast of British Columbia , where bald eagles are a common sight.
The story of the Bald Eagle is one of success. In 1978 the bird was listed for protection under the Endangered Species Act, until 2007 when the bird's recovery prompted its removal from the list.
