There’s an “ideas” folder in my mind, a place where random images go that may one day become paintings. By themselves, some of them wouldn’t be worthy of their own “canvas”, but if a common theme is shared, they might be combined to make a stronger point. Sadly, there is a growing number filed away that remind me of how we are failing in our role as stewards of our planet. We pull fossils out of the ground to study the past and learn how our ancestors lived and I can’t help but wonder what our “fossils” will convey? Maybe it has something to do with my factory days, but an assembly line seemed to be a fitting way to connect this batch of dubious recollections - uneaten cast offs (from fish who’s innards were used as bait), road-kill and litter - to ask if anyone thinks or cares about the legacy they are producing?
