It is always fun to watch the flocks of bohemian waxwings coming through the yard in the beginning of winter, cleaning up the berries from the trees and then flying away again after a couple of minutes. Hundreds of birds sit in the trees and appear to have a conversation with each other. I saw these two waxwings during a snowstorm and they reminded me of two old men commenting on the weather. We often draw parallels between nature and ourselves and can understand why it is so important to do our part to conserve our environment. The unexpected joy during the day that these bohemian waxwings give, is worth the effort to protect them.
