Wall color:
A pair of Great horned owls nests close to our home, giving us the privilege of watching generations of owlets mature. We rarely see them until they leave the nest and begin learning to fly and hunt within their nursery area. At that stage, they are delightful bundles of down and feathers—awkward, curious, and full of character—while their devoted parents remain constantly attentive. We always observe from a respectful distance, taking care not to disturb either the nesting site or the young birds. Watching each new generation successfully take flight has become one of our greatest joys.
