While visiting the Artists for Conservation exhibit at VanDusen Botanical Garden in 2024, my family spotted this beautiful hawk perched high in the trees. It took me a while to find it among the branches, but the encounter was well worth the effort. Fortunately, I had my telephoto lens with me and captured numerous reference photographs that later inspired this drawing.
