On our 2024 trip to Iceland, we had a special day to stop and observe Atlantic Puffins on a rock island colony. Watching with binoculars I realized there was so much comedy and drama as the birds played and fought and danced together. I decided to paint one lonely bird that had plenty of clowning about on the rock and now was chilling in the cold sea, bobbing about on the waves and taking a break from the adventurous comedy of the island. The Atlantic Puffin were inspiring birds and very endangered.
