"Tiger Eyes" depicts the Bengal Tiger, the national animal of India. Bengal Tigers are endangered. Poaching and deforestation are the major threats to them. India has a population of 3,682 tigers, approximately 75% of the world's population. Starting with Project Tiger in India in 1973, its aim was to protect the tiger from extinction. Now 58 Project Tiger Wildlife reserves cover 70,000 square km. India has doubled its tiger population. Successful efforts such as this give worldwide conservation efforts hope. With inspiration and consistent dedication all things are possible.
