Bears inspire me with their strength, solitude, and deep connection to the wild. Painting them is my way of honouring their beauty and expressing my hope to help protect the natural world they represent. Alaska’s brown bears are among the largest bears in the world. This painting was inspired by a photograph taken by Joshua Gesmundo whose work beautifully captures the spirit of wildlife.
