This painting started out as an idea of painting a reef that would gradually move to one side, appearing bleached, and then lifeless coral. Once I began, however, I was so moved by life I felt, the colors and the shapes within, that I continued to paint them blooming with color. I decided that the best way to impact the viewer may just be to leave the coral reef as beautifully untouched. I hope that you enjoy it.
