A mother bear slows her pace as she watches her two cubs play in the water, balancing the urgency of life with allowing her children moments of unhurried curiosity about the world around them. This year, I welcomed my second child into our family, and I created this piece by combining four reference images shortly after discovering we were expecting in the summer of 2024.
