A pair of Great Hornbills (Buceros bicornis), sitting on a branch, nearly mirror images of each other. They show a very elegant posture of feather preening, with their powerful beaks. The male has black-rimmed red eyes and a flat casque double-pointed at front with a black rim. The female has white eyes, with a red rim. The casque is smaller and without black. I have seen this impressive bird in several zoological gardens, unfortunately not yet in the wild.
