This carving is an original design, representative of a Lady’s hat once worn at important social events. Although feathers are still used today, taxidermy birds are less popular and not acceptable. Hat is carved from a fir burl, painted with acrylics. Pearl hat pin is tupelo wood. Base is made from oak and walnut. All woods are Canadian processed.
