I am always inspired by the life in and around the surf line, whether it is plovers or willets feeding and scurrying in the shallows, seals swimming and hunting just beyond the breakers, or this magnificent great egret flying low right on the same plane as a cresting wave. These beautiful creatures complete the scene, giving it and my paintings necessary life. I will never tire of watching and learning.
