Climate change has resulted in a greater frequency of extreme weather, including long dry spells that places a great stress on animals, even those adapted to arid habitats. In Cut-bank, a Texas Ocelot pauses from its search for food to rest momentarily in the brief shade offered by the steep banks of a dry stream bed. Already considered a threatened species, this population of ocelot faces an uncertain future, one of declining resources and increasing pressures on its survival.
