Wall color:
With powerful wave activity and nutrient-rich waters the outer coast hosts a variety of brilliantly coloured creatures that might look more at home in the tropics. Depicted here are three colour versions of the common ochre sea star and giant green anemones. The anemones and gooseneck barnacles rely on the surge of the tide and waves to bring them food and all life forms have to hang on for dear life if they are to survive. Portraying the dynamic back and forth flow of the waves from below was accomplished by adding bubbles, surf grass, fronds of kelp, and the shadows of the seaweeds.
