'Apex' celebrates the Osprey’s parenting and nest building skills. Aerial diving fishers with a 70% success rate, the parents of these three maturing fledglings are a huge success. Their nests can weigh as much as 298 pounds, be over six feet wide, and be used for up to 70 years. This nest utilized the top of a dead tree, on a hill side saddling a river in Yellowstone National Park. Reconstructing the intricacies of this nest was a glorious challenge.
