This Puffin was fishing off the coast of Newfoundland, near Bay Bulls. I would have missed this arial display of fishing puffins, however; climate change caused these guys to stay behind their normal migration route, longer than usual. One may think that this is of no consequence, however, the wonderful folks working at the O’Brian Whale and Bird Tours, told us that the herring that the Puffin’s eat are too large for their puffling’s (baby puffins), to swallow. In time, we will find out how large the consequences of this changed Migration will have on these Atlantic puffins.
