This herd of plains zebras accompanied me on an epic artistic journey over the last year. It is so joyous to see a sea of wildlife like this, still thriving in parts of the world – but even this IUCN listed, Near Threatened Species, is seeing a population decline, with a predicted 24% reduction since 2002. One day scenes like this may really be only art.
