This painting is of a wonderful old tree that sits near the trailhead of the Jordan Stream Trail near Acadia National Park in Maine. She would always welcome my dog Juney and I, with open arms before our hike. Photographed this past fall, she’s a true survivor and an inspiration to all, showing off enthusiastically with her beautiful fall colors and Long Pond resting behind her.
