In this painting I wanted to merge a modern-day prairie with a hint of the past. The Coyote represents the modern day. In much of the prairies the Coyote has taken over a niche that once belonged to the prairie Wolf. In the distance a herd of Bison graze – reminiscent of a prairie from another time. However, if we continue to do our part supporting conservation efforts, we may again see the Bison roam wild on the prairies more and more.
