I gain my inspiration from the natural environment. After moving to the North Wales countryside, I soon became aware of our unusual neighbours - a herd of wild Kashmiri goats. Queen Victoria gifted a pair to the local landowner, Lord Mostyn in 1890. Ever since they have lived wild on the cliffs of the “Great Orme” in ever growing numbers. During the quieter winter months, they venture down into town causing traffic problems and upsetting gardeners by munching their plants. This is an alpha male goat and I were immediately impressed with his long, wide horns, comical demeanour, and mischievous ways. We have both been featured in the short documentary “March of the goats” on Youtube.
