I have mixed feelings visiting such majestic animals in shelters, although it does allow me to photograph these beauties for illustrating them at a later time. I usually adopt a raptor in order to support the wonderful care provided to these birds. This was a beautiful Ferruginous Hawk showing off his wonderful wingspread in the sunlight.
