Lynn is an internationally acclaimed Vancouver Island wood carver. Her many achievements include four Best in World awards from the Ward Foundation & Museum of Salisbury, Maryland. In 2019, Lynn was inducted into the "Living Legends" alumni by the Ward Foundation. "Silent Witness" is a depiction of a threatened Penguin species observing a changing environment influenced by climate change. Adélie Penguins are native to the Antarctic Continental coastline. The threat of melting ice is reflected in the carving. It is finished with a blend of acrylic paint and ink, protected by archival varnish and wax. The sculpture should only be light dusted and not placed in direct sunlight.
