For centuries, the wild horses of the Americas offered freedom, prosperity and status, to the First Nations people. A valuable horse would often have eagle feathers tied into its mane or tail to signify strength and courage. Nomadic people who lived with the cycles of the earth and the living things they relied upon can be an example for us. East holds the place of the rising sun, a new day to continue our work to protect and honour the spirit of wild things, places, and people.
