Wall color:
To me, there are two main subjects in this painting since it was the old, weathered fence post I fell in love with first. So much character with all its colors, holes, and cracks, bent nails, and the rusty chain. Not too long after I took photos of the post, a North American Robin made a nest outside my balcony door and I thought to myself, what a lovely addition to the post she would be, which is how this composition came to be. The Robin’s bright red chest brings life to the dull grayish colors of a season on the cusp of change. A welcome sign of spring!
