Conservation in Texas is a challenge given the economic power of the energy industries. Texas based naturalists and conservationists struggle to maintain and improve the environments that help endangered animals and plants survive and thrive; and provide a cleaner environment for our human species. I am happy to provide art which focuses on these topics. I have fun, satisfaction, and enjoyment while painting and making art - it helps me cope with the craziness in our modern society. This South Texas, hypersaline estuary biologists describe as a nursery for many fish of the Gulf of Mexico, also provides quite a large winter habitat for many migratory bird species as well.
