I seem to be one of those true west coasters that love the rain, mist, and constant parade of storms we endure all winter long. Although, there is nothing quite as spectacular as the emergence of the sun after a month of rain. Early one January morning I woke to watch the sun rise at Amphitrite Point, Ucluelet after what seemed like four months of rain. What I hoped to find was the waves dancing off rocks but what I found was the morning glow lighting up mist cast up by the mighty Pacific Ocean and I knew it had to be painted.
