Sea turtles are experiencing a negative interaction with the encroachment of humankind. Coastal development destroys their nesting sites, some are hunted for their meat and eggs, and many are caught in fishing nets. Their future may be dim. Edge of reality, fantasy, and movement are creative tools to express wildlife through an art form. I wanted to paint these great creatures in a different way, trying to capture the attention of the viewer and offer a sense of wonderment of their beauty and presence in the oceans.
