Painted in oil paints on a wooden board with a real silver leaf background. The silver leaf was used to symbolize the importance of ice for polar bears. Without sea ice polar bears aren't able to hunt for high calorie food like seals. If we could freeze the effects of global warming, then Polar Bear numbers would stabilize.
