The Tiger is the largest of all big cat species. The population of Bengal tigers has dropped 97% in 20 years with fewer than 2000 left in the wild. The remaining tigers face retaliatory killings, habitat loss, and the illegal wildlife market. All tigers are classified as either endangered or critically endangered, but Bengal tigers have the largest surviving population.
