I was trying to show how nature, in all its wisdom, furnishes different species with the tools they need to have a chance of survival. This Great Horned Owl is one of the more formidable Owl predators of the sky, and as a result of that, and its plumage colouring, is nicknamed ‘the Tiger of the air.’ In my painting I wanted to show how this owl could blend in with its environment, as its plumage acts as a very efficient camouflage rendering it relatively invisible. Howard Brodsky, expert photographer and my friend, helped to create this special and unique painting.
