This intricate and beautifully marked carnivorous marsupial has seen numbers in the wild decline to where it is now considered endangered. Painting this one was a real challenge and required really good reference images. I endeavored to depict typical habitat of fallen timber and woodland where termites abound, the exclusive diet of Numbats.
