Attracted by the movement of the water and the rich tones of submerged leaf litter, I was enticed to paint this scene. Painting water has always holds many challenges for me, but they are challenges that I will continue to pursue. This scene in the upper Williams River is very typical, and the frequent sighting of the vivid blue Azure kingfisher, seemed appropriate to include.
