The Great Thick-billed Raven (Corvus crassirostris) of Eritrea and Ethiopia shows perhaps the most powerful and massive bill of all crows. These two are demonstrating the strong pair-bonding of crows - to be monogamous is the usual behavior in the family Corvidae. The species is listed as not threatened, but the relatively small geographic distribution may lead to a vulnerable status one day.
