During my painting trip to northern Ontario’s white quartzite mountains of La Cloche; my friend and I were startled by a small thump on her window. In a flash she grabbed her gloves, we rushed outside. Thankfully this Chickadee we found there was only stunned. After several magical moments cradled in the warmth of her gloved hand the bird regained its strength and flew off. The image left an indelible impression on me that led to this painting.
