Walt Anderson
My goal as an artist is to interpret an organism with love, respect, and fidelity to essence. As a naturalist and wildlife biologist, I want my work to inspire and motivate people to fully appreciate the natural world and work to protect it. Marvel at the beauty of an animal well portrayed, and you can for a moment escape the confusion of modern society and connect with something much bigger and grander. More about Walt Anderson |

Patricia Banks
"I am intrigued by the fleeting balance between strength and fragility in nature. Drawing inspiration from the natural environment I bear witness to the beauty, interdependence, and sanctity of all creation. I seek to share this glory with viewers so that they may also pause and reflect, and feel as if they are here, in the moment.” More about Patricia Banks |

Suzanne Barrett Justis
The artist Gustave Courbet once said, "the beautiful is in nature and it is encountered under most diverse forms of reality. Once it is found, it belongs to art, or rather to the artist who discovers it." I have always been enraptured by the natural world and strive to recreate what moves and excites me with my art. I have always been captivated by animals and the many " diverse forms of reality" nature holds. As a kid, I was always drawing something, be it the maple tree in the backyard, our... Craig Benson
In often compromising times of mass production and "bottom-line" decisions, the world can overwhelm an artist. Carving is where Craig's overwhelm stops. Each work is carved with care from a single piece of wood or stone. His desire is to represent not only the physical likeness of his subject, but also its character, so that the viewer not only recognizes the beauty of the finished artwork, but also feels drawn to the energy and spirit of the creature itself. Ultimately Craig judges his work a... More about Craig Benson |

Alejandro Bertolo
In all its forms and styles, the great challenge in Japanese painting consists in rendering the essence of the chosen subject, be it an animal, a tree or a flower. The result is a more intimate and subjective form of art. More about Alejandro Bertolo |

Lucrezia Bieler
I am using single sheets of black paper and scissors to make complex cut images. To me the material and the production process reflects the delicacy and also the fragility of nature. All things are interconnected and interwoven and have an impact on each other. My work discusses the interactions in nature: the eternal flow of life. More about Lucrezia Bieler |

Cindy Billingsley
Animals have a right to a place in the world. We as human make up just a small part of the world. Everything is connected and once different species of animals disappear then more and more will follow. Animals do not have a voice, and as an artist I wanted to try and give them a voice through my art. Artists through centuries have been the observers in a society. Art can make a difference, get people thinking, seeing and hopefully changing ways so that animals can keep and improve their... More about Cindy Billingsley |

Wayne Chunat
My media varies from acrylics and watercolors to oils and intaglio prints. My style varies from realistic to loose and airy impressionism depending on what best portrays the subject and its environment. My inspiration is first-hand observation in the environment, then study specimens, and finally reference photos. My goal is to capture the essence of the animal's movement, habits and cycle of life. Guy Combes
Exploring and describing the magical wonders of Africa are processes that have absorbed me into a thrilling cycle of challenges, accomplishments and further challenges that continually fortify my confidence to paint. This is a journey that I know will lead me towards many new subjects, but my lifelong African experience is so far still proving that around every corner there is a heart stopping new encounter. In my paintings I always attempt to do more than just open a window on a visual... More about Guy Combes |

I'm a portrait artist, working to capture the individual and find his or her story. By setting ourselves so far apart from other animals, we lose our connection to them and the rest of the planet in the process. More about Carrie Cook |

Lynden Cowan
As a self- taught artist, I prefer oil paint on canvas and for the most part triple zero brushes for working on fine detail. Paintings are meticulously rendered from multiple layers of thinly applied paint, and small strokes pick up the preferred natural light. Wild landscape and highly detailed scenes are my subject of choice and I strive to include the viewer in my visual journey and interpretations of the naturel world and human nature.
