Before I started this piece I imagined observing a herd elephants thriving in their unspoiled habitat, so vast and grand, stretching as far as my eyes could see. A lone elephant caught my eye - so peaceful and silent. Elephants have no major predators apart from one silent killer… humans. Extreme poverty and extreme greed, as well as ignorance, are driving these majestic species towards extinction. In the animal kingdom only harmony and balance prevail. I hope mankind can respect and mirror this way of living in order to preserve these beautiful animals and the ecosystems that supports us all.
