The Roadrunner is a speedy ground cuckoo with a distinctive crest. While it can fly, it prefers to dash about surprising its prey from under the cover of shrubs in its arid homeland in the southwestern US, Mexico and Central America.
Some cultures believe it is good luck to spot a roadrunner. I totally agree and couldn't resist having this charming, clever, amusing bird as the subject of this bronze study.
