My goal with "Best Friends" was to capture the undeniable love between these two young elephants.
The essence of the elephant is apparent here with their ability to connect with each other as “best friends” in such a loving and playful manner. I did not see these elephants in person but had to read into their communication. Having met at the orphanage at an early stage in their lives gives them a bond, which in all likelihood saved their lives. This is what conservation can do.
