Requiring large tracts of mature, deciduous forests, there are still a few places in Michigan where Cerulean Warblers have suitable breeding habitat. Every spring, I anticipate their return to the Barry State Game Area. I'm always relieved to hear their familiar song, but getting a glimpse of their brilliant blue high up in the canopy is the real challenge.
